Did the Village get louder this summer, or did it just get more connected? Both are true, but the second answer is the interesting one. Zionsville added a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area in the fall of 2024, expanded it a year later, and the practical effect has been to turn Main Street's evenings into one long room instead of a series of separate stops.
That is the thesis worth sitting with. The events on the summer calendar have not really changed. Wednesday concerts at Lions Park, Sunday band concerts, Saturday morning at the Farmers Market, the Street Dance on the first weekend of August. What has changed is the tissue between them.
