For most of the last decade, "summer in Westfield" meant Grand Park. Tournament weekends, tailgates in a gravel lot, fireworks after a ballgame. The plaza downtown was a $39 million idea waiting for the buildings around it to catch up.
In 2026, they caught up. The plaza now runs its own calendar of Thursday markets, Friday concerts, and Saturday programming, and the July 4 weekend is the clearest proof: the city split its Independence Day into two venues on purpose. If you live here and you are still driving to Grand Park for every event, you are missing half the summer.
The Fourth Is a Three-Day Weekend Now
The old version of July 4 in Westfield was one night at Grand Park. The 2026 version, built around the America 250 celebration, uses three venues across three days.
Thursday, July 2, opens quietly at Grand Junction Plaza. The
